Fact Check
The claim is false.
NewsMeter performed a keyword search which led us to several reports by mainstream media outlets, including Hindustan Times and India.com, about the recent explosion at Barauni refinery. Hindustan Times claimed that a blast at the refinery on 16 September 2021 had left 17 people injured. India.com, meanwhile, put the figure at 15.
Following this, NewsMeter carefully observed the viral video and noticed a logo that read 'NEWSCODE'. We further performed another keyword search which led us to a video uploaded by the YouTube channel 'Newscode Jharkhand'.
We visited this channel and found that the same video, with the title "Bihar: Fierce fire in Barauni Refinery", had aired on 28 April 2018.
We found a similar video on the YouTube channel 'Punjab Kesari Bihar' from 29 April 2018. The description of the video reads, "Great fire in Barauni Refinery, fire under control."
We also found a report by India TV published on 28 April 2018 titled "Massive fire outbreak in Begusarai's Barauni Refinery".
It is therefore evident that the claim made in the viral posts is false as the video is of a 2018 fire mishap at Begusarai's Barauni refinery.
