Fact Check:

The claim is false.

Firstly, NewsMeter noticed the logo in the video 'Metro India News', taking a clue from that, we ran a keyword search on YouTube and found the original video. The photo in question is a screenshot taken from the same video which was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Metro India News' on September 8, 2018.

We observed that in this video, the officer can be seen thrashing three men who are tied to a rope. As the video proceeds, we can see the three men were made to sit on the road, still tied to the rope.

Secondly, we found the same video carried by several other news organizations in September 2018.

The video shows police inspector Deepak Mishra of Bhavnagar's crime branch thrashing and parading gangsters Shailesh Dhandhalya, Mukesh Shiyal, and Bhadresh Goswami through the streets of Talaja in Bhatnagar, as per the reports.

The three were apprehended in Ahmedabad, according to The Times of India, in connection with an attempted murder case in Talaja town. Bhavnagar police paraded them after they were remanded to two days custody by a Talaja court.

Hence, it is evident that the video in three years old. It is not related to the recent political developments in the state.

Claim Review:A shift in the law-and-order situation can be seen in Gujarat soon after Bhupendra Patel took charge of the state as the chief minister. In Bhavnagar, the police arrested a big don there and thrashed him in the middle of crossroads.
