Hyderabad: As West Bengal gears up to hold Assembly elections, Union Home minister Amit Shah and BJP chief J.P Nadda are set to conduct a joint campaign in the state in a battle against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress.
Amidst this, a photo of Home minister Amit Shah greeting the AIMIM chief, Asaduddin Owaisi, has gone viral on social media.
According to a post, which is in Bangla and translates to, "Amit Shah pleaded by holding Asaduddin's hands and said 'like Bihar give us Bengal too, I will offer the cash whatever it requires'."

We ran a reverse image search and found the original image from 2014 on Daily Mail. It shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi being felicitated by BJP president Amit Shah in New Delhi. The caption reads, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is felicitated by BJP president Amit Shah in New Delhi."
In 2017, Hindi news channel ABP News had reported that the image had been edited.
