The photo does not show the inaugural stage being set up for US President-elect Joe Biden. It is an old image from 1993.
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the same picture on a stock photo website Alamy. The caption read, "Aerial Photography, William J. Clinton Presidential Inauguration, aerial of White House." According to the Smithsonian Institution Archives the picture was taken in 1993.
Social media users are claiming that the viral photo shows Biden's inaugural stage, but it actually shows the 1993 viewing stand which is erected for every inauguration. The new President watches the inaugural parade on Pennsylvania Avenue from the viewing stand following the swearing-in ceremony.
