Hyderabad: Two photos of two Sikh soldiers embracing their family members are doing the rounds of social media with the claim that the young soldiers were reunited with their father who is protesting at the Delhi border.

According to one Twitter user, the jawans who are on leave first went to meet their father who has been participating in the farmers' protest at the Delhi border for 75 days.

Fact Check:

NewsMeter found that the billboards seen in the photos contain text in Punjabi and not Hindi. We enlarged the image using Invid magnifying tool and found a banner that read "Parking-Bus Stand Ludhiana 24 hours open".

We searched for Ludhiana bus stand on Google Maps and found images showing similar banners.

Therefore, we could confirm that the photos were taken at the Ludhiana bus stand and NOT the Delhi protest site.

The FedEx and Blue Dart banners in the viral image can also be seen on Google maps.

Here is the comparison:

Though we were unable to assess the date of the pictures or identify the soldiers in the viral images, we could confirm that these images were taken near Ludhiana bus stand and NOT at the Delhi border where the protests are taking place.
