Hyderabad: An image of a gigantic mace along with a bow and arrow is viral on social media. Users claim that the sculpture has been set up at a chowk in Ayodhya.

Many users have shared this image with the caption:" Divine intersection built in Ayodhya - Now say Jai Shri Ram (sic)".

Fact Check:

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found a tweet with the same false claim from June 2020. However, in the comment section, it was mentioned that the sculpture is from Vadodara, Gujarat.

Using this information we performed a keyword search and found the location of the image using the Street View feature on Google Maps. It is located on Harni Road in Vadodara, Gujarat

A plaque across the sculpture states that this is Shri Bhidbhanjan Circle in Vadodara which was inaugurated on April 15, 2016.

Evidently, it is clear that the claim of this sculpture being located in Ayodhya is false. It is located in Gujarat.
