The image is described as showing G7 leaders during the group photo, featuring the heads of state from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, along with representatives from the European Union. Non-G7 guests, such as PM Modi, are not present in this photo.

According to Sidhant Sibal, who covers foreign affairs for WION News, the G7 Summit traditionally follows a two-format structure for its group photos. On the first day, only the leaders of the G7 member countries feature in the group photos. On the second day, the photos include both the G7 leaders and the invited guest leaders.
He also mentioned that this two-day photo format is not unique to the G7 and is commonly followed in other major international summits such as the SCO, BRICS and G20.
By tradition, G7 has 2 formats.
