Fact Check: Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana does not exist, viral message is hoax

HYDERABAD: A WhatsApp message claiming that all young unemployed citizens will be given Rs 3500 every month under the Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana, is viral on social media.
The viral message provides a link and lists out details for registration.
The message reads, "Pre-registration is going on for the Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana 2021. Under this scheme all the young unemployed will be given Rs 3500 every month, fill your form by clicking on the link given below to do pre-registration Application Fee - 00 Rs (FREE). Qualification - 10th pass. Age - 18 to 40 years. Last date for registration - 31 October 2021. Register online here."
FACT CHECK:
The message is a hoax.
Firstly, it should be noted that the link provided in the viral message is not an official government link. It is a blog created on Blogspot- an online content management system.
Secondly, no such scheme is being run by the Central government. NewsMeter checked the official government website but did not find any such scheme.
Moreover, the central government clarified that the message is fake. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) tweeted: "No such scheme is being run by the Government of India. Do not click on any suspicious link it may be a fraud attempt"
