Fact Check: SP shares misleading photos to compare employment before, during Yogi rule in UP
The photo claims that when Samajwadi Party was in power in Uttar Pradesh (before 2017), the youth had good work opportunities whereas when Yogi came to power in 2017, the youth had to fight for job opportunities.

Hyderabad: A photo comparing employment opportunities for youth before and during the Yogi government's rule in Uttar Pradesh was shared by the official Twitter account of the Samajwadi Party.
It claims that when Samajwadi Party was in power in Uttar Pradesh (before 2017), the youth had good work opportunities whereas when Yogi came to power in 2017, the youth had to fight for job opportunities.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the same image on Getty Images. The caption reads, "Software programmers work on computers as they develop applications at the MoFirst Solutions Pvt. office in Mumbai, India, on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011."
The photo was taken in August 2011 in Mumbai and not Uttar Pradesh as SP has claimed. The picture has nothing to do with the Samajwadi Party's tenure in Uttar Pradesh.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the same image on a website called Goan connection dated 3 November 2018. It read, "The police lathi-charged BTC candidates who were protesting in front of the Vidhan Bhavan demanding the filling of vacant posts of assistant teacher recruitment. They ran and beat the protesters on the road (sic)."
The incident took place in Lucknow. The demonstration turned violent and dozens of candidates were injured in the lathi-charge.
While the second photo was taken in 2018 when the Yogi government was in power in Uttar Pradesh, the first picture has nothing to do with Uttar Pradesh or the Samajwadi Party. The photo comparison is misleading.
