Fact Check: Tej Pratap Yadav’s alleged lover Anushka Yadav’s reel goes viral? Find the facts here

Hyderabad: Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, was expelled from both the party and his family after a controversial Facebook post claimed he had been in a 12-year relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav.

The post, which Tej Pratap later alleged was the result of his account getting hacked, triggered public outrage and internal discord, prompting Lalu to cite a breach of party and family values as the reason for expelling Tej for six years.

In this context, a video has been circulating on social media showing a photo of Tej Pratap with Anushka Yadav, followed by a clip of a woman posing in a western outfit and flexing her arms. Users claim that the woman in the clip is also Anushka Yadav, who is fond of making reels.

An X user shared the video and wrote, “Teju Bhaiya’s wife Anushka Yadav also turned out to be a reel-maker. While trying to become Krishna, he ultimately got trapped in the affair of a girl who’s into reels.” (Translated from Hindi) (Archive)

NewsMeter found that the claim is false, as the reel does not feature Anushka Yadav.

A reverse image search of the video’s keyframes showed that the video was originally posted by an Instagram user named Rachna on April 8, captioned “fitness”. She describes herself as a digital creator.

Further examination of the account showed several reels featuring Rachna with her husband and children (links here, here and here)

Here is the comparison of Anushka and Rachna’s images.

Therefore, we conclude that the clip features digital creator Rachna, not Anushka Yadav. The claim is false.
