A video of an air show showing aircraft flying in the “Its coming home” formation has been going viral on social media claiming that it took place in England before the Euro Cup finals.

Hyderabad: A video of an air show showing aircraft flying in the "Its coming home" formation has been going viral on social media claiming that it took place in England before the Euro Cup finals.

The claim is false.

NewsMeter performed a Google reverse image search and found a tweet by Potion Pictures posted on 11 July 2021. It said, "Last time we posted this clip, it was viewed over 30 million times, got shared by David Beckham and was written about in several national newspapers. There was a lot of debate about whether it was real or not. Come on England! #itscominghome."

We then searched for the video that was posted earlier by Potion Pictures and found a video from 12 July 2018. The tweet read, "Many were fooled by our manipulated RAF100 flyby video, here's our breakdown showing exactly how we manipulated the aircrafts formation to spell 'It's Coming Home' ahead of yesterdays match. #itscomimghome #RAF100 #BehindtheScenes."

We then found a video on the YouTube channel 'Football Tube' from 11 July 2018. The description of the video stated that the RAF (Royal Air Force) fighter planes flew in the "It's Coming Home" formation in London ahead of England's FIFA World Cup 2018 semi-final against Croatia.


We also found another YouTube video that was edited and "Its Home Coming" changed to "False Alarm".


It is evident that the viral video claiming that there was an air show before the Euro Cup finals is false. The video has been edited. It has been going viral since 2018.
