Hyderabad: A video is widely being shared on social media where a few goons are seen teasing a woman at a bus stop.

"A mother and daughter wearing hijab arrive at a bus stop. It turns out that the daughter forgot something at home. The mother asks the daughter to wait at the bus stop and goes to pick up the forgotten item. Two boys arrive at the bus stop and start harassing the girl. On the way to Sabarimala, a scooter-borne Swami dressed in black clothes passes by. Swami gets down from the scooter and scolds the boys. Later the ruffians leave the spot. The daughter tells her mother what happened. She thanks, Swamy. He rides his scooter and leaves the place. The mother hugs her daughter," reads the English translation of Malayalam text.


The viral video was also shared on Facebook page 'Kudos Media' that had around 14k likes.

Fact Check

The claim is False.

NewsMeter firstly looked at the video carefully and noticed that the video seemed as if it was being scripted.

We then performed a Google Reverse Image Search, which led us to a similar video uploaded on the Facebook page of Sanjjanaa Galrani with the caption, 'She was Saved'. The video had 79k likes and around 4M views.

"Thanks for watching! Please note that this page contains scripted dramas and parodies. These short films are for entertainment and educational purposes only," the caption said.

Sanjjanaa has shared many such educational videos on her Facebook page. Another such video was also shared earlier on social media.
