Hyderabad: A video of a man falling into a rain puddle and disappearing is doing the rounds of social media.
Fact Check
NewsMeter performed a reverse image search of a few screenshots from the video which led us to the Instagram account of Faisal. We checked his Instagram page and found the original video was uploaded on his Instagram account on 8 September 2020. The description in Indonesian translates to, "If it rains, be careful on the road guys. There are lots of puddles, especially the past puddles."
Faisal is a video creator who makes VFX videos for his Instagram and YouTube channels.
Further, we also found that the video has also been uploaded on YouTube to caution people during the monsoons. (Watch the video here and here.)
It is evident that the video is not real. It was created by a VFX artist.
