Hyderabad: A video of a heavily crowded Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) in Mumbai is being shared on social media with the claim that the massive crowd was gathered on 7 April 2021. Netizens are claiming that no safety measures were taken up during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fact Check:

The Press Information Bureau of India tweeted a screenshot of the viral video and said the "video is old and is being mischievously shared with recent dates".

The East Coast Railway under the ministry of Railways and the Northeast Frontier Railway also shared the PBI tweet and wrote, "The video is old and is being mischievously shared with recent dates. We appeal to everyone to avoid sharing such videos. People are requested not to believe in rumours."


Hence, the claim that the viral video is recent is FALSE. The video is old and has resurfaced with false claims.
