Fact Check
The claim that the video shows a health worker from Uttar Pradesh pretending to vaccinate a person is FALSE.
NewsMeter searched the keyframes extracted from the video and found that the video is from Ecuador. We found an article on an Ecuadorian news website, eluniverso.com/, which states that this incident took place in Mucho Lote in April 2021.
According to the report, a video recorded by an elderly man who had come to get vaccinated at the Mucho Lote esplanade shows a nurse jab him with a needle and then pull it out without injecting the vaccine.
This video was later shared on social media and had gone viral.

Meanwhile, the secretary general of the Presidency, Jorge Wated, tweeted that the nurse had been arrested and that the man in the video had been vaccinated.
The former minister of health of Ecuador clarified that the nurse and the patient have been identified and an investigation is on.

Tenemos identificado al enfermero y el paciente .
Se inicia la investigación daremos detalles pronto.
CNN Esponal had also reported the incident.
Fact-checking organizations, including AFP Fact Check and Alt News, have also debunked this claim.
The video showing a health care worker pulling out a syringe without injecting the vaccine is not from Uttar Pradesh. It is not related to the case where an ANM discarded vaccine-filled injections in the dustbin. Hence, the claim is FALSE.
