Fact Check

The claim is false.

NewsMeter performed a keyword search which directed us to a tweet by Malala Yousafzai from 15 August 202. It read, "We are deeply shocked to see the way the Taliban is taking control of Afghanistan."

Greta Thunberg had tweeted, "It is heartbreaking and deeply shameful to watch how the world has completely failed the people in Afghanistan. It is impossible to imagine the situation they - especially women and children - now face."

Meanwhile, Mia Khalifa had tweeted on 16 August, "Praying with AK's not exactly the best way to be on Allah's good side, homie."

On 16 August, Mia Khalifa had again tweeted, "The President of Afghanistan just up and left the country after the Taliban seized another Capitol? BRO, WHAT??"

It is evident that the claim made through the viral post is false as all of them have shared their concern about the Afghanistan crisis.
