Hyderabad: A post claiming to reveal some untold truths about the Tirupati Balaji temple is doing the rounds of social media.


Fact Check:

The claims made in the post are false.

NewsMeter did a reverse image search and found similar posts from 2021. This proves that viral claim has been doing the rounds of social media since 2021.

Further, we found an interview of TTD chief priest Ramana Deekshitulu who clarified to ETV that the viral post is false. The interviews are from 2021 and 2017. (Click here and here to watch the videos)



The viral post states that the hair on the idol is real and that the idol in the temple sweats. However, in the interview, the temple head priest said the claims were false and it was wrong to attribute these "human" qualities to the lord (swamy). Also, there is no hidden village from where unique flowers are delivered to Tirumala temple.

We couldn't find any credible information supporting the viral claims. Hence, the post is false.
