NewsMeter found the claim is false
We checked Ratan Tata's social media handles and could not find any such statement.
We found a YouTube interview. At the 16:35 timestamp, the interviewer asks Tata about the philosophical thought behind his quote.
Tata replied to the interviewer that "Facebook or Twitter made that statement, it was never made by me".
He also said there is no remedial action taken when it comes to social media and that he doesn't get a chance to defend himself.
Third, we ran a Google search with the quote and found that many websites suggested that the quote was given by Muhammad Ali Jinnah during India-Pakistan partition. However, we could not verify that the quote is from Muhammad Ali Jinnah or not.
