Fact Check:

The claim is misleading

NewsMeter performed a keyword search using the words "Respect Army" and "Army Videos" on Facebook. We found the same video on a Facebook page called 'Amazing Video' uploaded on 5 March 2022. It had a disclaimer that read, "Thank you for watching! Please be aware that this page features scripted dramas and parodies as well. These short films are for educational purposes only!"

We carefully analysed the video and found the text "Copyright By 3rd Eye" at the bottom of the clip. Taking this as a cue, we searched the 3rd Eye's YouTube channel and found a longer version of the video that was uploaded on 16 February 2022 with the caption, 'SALUTE TO THIS ARMY PERSON | Alone Girl Saved by Army Man | Social Awareness Video By 3rd Eye.'

At the end of the video was a disclaimer clarifying that it was a "reel" life footage and it was for "education and entertainment purposes."

The YouTube channel has posted similar videos. (See them here and here)

Hence, the claim that the viral video shows an Army man helping a girl stranded on the road is misleading.
