Hyderabad: A video showing a Muslim couple helping an old man is being widely shared on social media.

The video shows an old man and a kid walking along a footpath. After a while, the man faints and falls down. The kid seeks help from a Muslim couple who tries to save the old man. A text accompanying the viral video reads, "A Muslim couple helped an elderly."

The claim is false.

NewsMeter performed a Google reverse image search that led us to a longer version of the video uploaded on the Facebook page 'Sanjjanaa Galrani' on 16 March 2022.

At the 3.22-minute mark, a text appears that reads, "Irrespective of caste and religion, put humanity first and help the people who are in need. Thank you for watching.
