The claim is false.
A search about Vaishali Yadav revealed that she had posted a video about the situation in Ukraine. The video was tweeted by Hindustan.
It is learned that Vaishali Yadav, who is studying in Ukraine, came to India during the panchayat elections last year and contested the elections. She was elected the village sarpanch. According to an Amar Ujala report published in December 2021, she went back to Ukraine after she was elected the sarpanch and started her activities from there with the help of Digital India. However, officials who found out about the video after it went viral say they are investigating to find out how the student went out while she was the village head. (Read another report by Aaj Tak)
Dainik Bhaskar had reported that Hardoi SP had said that there was no truth in the news that the police arrested her knowing she was in India when the video was made.
