It has been found that the wrestler who was killed at a local academy was another Nisha Dahiya and not the national-level wrestler athlete as claimed. The Coach who travelled with the Indian team told PTI that the wrestler who was shot dead in Sonepat was a newcomer named Nisha Dahiya and not the U-23 world championship bronze-medalist.

The SP of Sonipat, Rahul Sharma also tweeted saying, "This Nisha Dahiya (shot dead) & medalist wrestler Nisha Dahiya are 2 different people. The medalist wrestler belongs to Panipat & is at an event now."

Evidently, it is clear that no such attack took place on National level wrestler Nisha Dahiya and her family. The U-23 world championship bronze-medalist is alive.
Thus, the claim is false.
