It can never happen. Stadium is named after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. And Modi ji doesn't do this kind of politics. So i guess someone has planted this fake news.

We searched online and found several reports by media organisations such as Times Now News and Indian Express that stated that the Montera Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has indeed been renamed Narendra Modi Stadium.
The report by Times Now News read, "Huge surprise unfolded as President Ram Nath Kovind officially inaugurated the venue as Narendra Modi Stadium. It was, however, later clarified that the stadium was changed from its original name, Motera Stadium, to Narendra Modi Stadium while the name of the entire complex still remains Sardar Patel Stadium."
DD News, the public broadcaster of India also tweeted a digital inauguration of the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The BJP Twitter account also tweeted that Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah said that the Narendra Modi Stadium is the world's largest sports stadium with a seating capacity of 1.32 lakh.
