A screenshot of Elon Musk's tweet calling out former Pakistan's PM Imran Khan for having fake followers on Twitter is being widely circulated on social media.
'More than 60 percent of #PTI Chief #ImranKhan's followers were fake and they have been removed from his account by #Twitter after #ElonMusk's crackdown on fake accounts on bots', the screenshot reads.
The caption of the screenshot reads, "I am confirming that Pakistan's veteran cricketer Imran Khan has the largest number of fake followers on Twitter."
Did Elon Musk really make such a statement about Pakistan's PM Imran Khan?

We carefully analyzed the viral screenshot and noticed the date to be 13th December 2022. Taking the date as a cue, we scrolled through the official Twitter handle of Elon Musk for the 13th of December and could not find any such tweet.
Moreover, we could not find any media coverage of such comments by Elon Musk against Imran Khan. As any such comment by Elon would have attracted huge controversy for sure.
About Imran Khan having 60.8% fake followers, we believe that it is crucial to lay out real facts. We used the same audience research tool Sparkroro as used in the viral screenshot.
Performing the search for Imran Khan we found out that Khan has just 2.7 percent fake followers which means even the data in the fake tweet is being edited.
Hence, it is evident that the viral screenshot of Elon Musk's comments on Pak PM Imran Khan is fake.
The claim stands false.
