Fact Check

NewsMeter found the claim to be false.

We contacted our expert Dr.Fawad Ali, a diabetic specialist from John Hopkins University, USA to debunk the viral claim.

Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by high levels of sugar (glucose) in the blood.

This condition is caused by either the body’s inability to produce enough insulin or the inability of the body’s cells to effectively use insulin. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that helps regulate blood sugar levels. When these levels become too high, it can lead to serious health problems and even death.

Diabetes affects millions of people worldwide and is a leading cause of death and disability. It is estimated that there are currently over 400 million people living with diabetes, and this number is expected to rise in the coming years. Diabetes is a major risk factor for a number of other health problems, including heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and blindness.

There are two main types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder that results in the destruction of insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. This type of diabetes typically develops in childhood or young adulthood and requires lifelong treatment with insulin injections or an insulin pump.

Type 2 diabetes, on the other hand, is caused by a combination of insulin resistance and a decrease in insulin production. This type of diabetes is much more common and typically develops in middle-aged or older adults, but it is becoming increasingly common in younger people as well. Type 2 diabetes is often associated with obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, and a diet high in sugar and unhealthy fats... Regarding the claim of Satochi tablets which are effervescent tablets that claim to increase insulin levels naturally for diabetes cure and treatment, their main ingredients are giant grape myrtle flower and bitter melon extracts, which may have certain antioxidant properties but have certainly not been approved for the treatment of diabetes by any standards. The video and its website claim it is FDA certified. It also shows three certificates as proof, but neither of these mentions the FDA.

According to the certificates, the company is a Canadian Company that produces yeasts and bacteria but it we couldn’t find details of satoshi on their website. The US FDA is responsible for protecting public health by regulating human drugs and biological products. the FDA contains a database of drugs approved by them and Satochi is not on it.

The FDA follows stringent measures and trials before approving any new drug. The manufacturers may use the term FDA approved when they have received a letter stating that a particular drug has been approved by the body. so It is important to be cautious of claims made by products or treatments that have not been scientifically tested and validated. Patients using such unapproved drugs may put themselves at risk of complications and worsening of the disease since Diabetes is a complex disease that requires a comprehensive approach and is better for the patients to approach a qualified healthcare professional for Diabetes treatment and beware of illegally marketed diabetes treatments and the video can be termed as fake.
