Fake News: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff did not die of heart attack

Hyderabad: Several social media users have posted a video of a funeral along with images of actor Tiger Shroff claiming that the Bollywood actor died of a heart attack on 5 May 2023. (Click here and here to see the posts.)

The viral video also claims that the incident happened when Tiger Shroff was performing a stunt for a movie but accidentally slipped. It further adds that he initially felt a little low but later, he suffered a severe heart attack.

NewsMeter found the claim to be false. Tiger Shroff is alive.

We performed an online search using relevant keywords but could not find any news reports regarding the death of the famous Bollywood actor and Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff. This is unlikely as the death of a famous personality like him would have definitely caught the media’s attention.

For further confirmation, we looked through Tiger Shroff’s Instagram account and found a video of him performing stunts posted just two days ago on 13 May. This clearly debunks the claim that he died on 5 May.

Moreover, we found the same reel uploaded on his Facebook account as well.

Evidently, our energetic and enthusiastic Tiger Shroff is very much alive and kicking. Hence, the claim is false.
