Social media users are sharing a video on Facebook showing a fireworks display during the grand event.
In the viral video, you can see fireworks forming 'FIFA Qatar 2022' above the stadium.
The caption of the viral video reads: "The fireworks display during the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 looks mesmerizing. Jungkook will perform his solo song on this spectacular stage with an audience of 60,000 people in the World Cup #ctto".
The 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony took place on Sunday, 20 November 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, before the opening match of the tournament between hosts Qatar and Ecuador. It included appearances by Morgan Freeman and Ghanim Al-Muftah and a performance by South Korean singer Jungkook of BTS.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the same video on a YouTube video titled: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Fireworks Opening, published dated 15th Nov 2022, on the channel `Michael Lee'.
The description of the video reads, 'It's just for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Fireworks Opening Ceremony'. Also, we spotted the same name (Michael Lee) watermarked on the video. We also spotted multiple such edited celebration dummy video on the channel.
For further confirmation, we scanned the social media handles of the creator of the video and found a tweet published on his Twitter handle dated the same with the caption, 'New design coming soon.'
It should be noted that the viral video was uploaded dated 15th Nov 2022 whereas the real event took place on 20th Nov 2022.
Hence, it is evident that the viral claim is false.
