Fact:The claim is false. The video is from Karachi, Pakistan.
Hyderabad: As rains continue to batter multiple cities, a video showing a woman falling off a bike while riding pillion with a child on a flooded road has gone viral.
Users are sharing the video, claiming it is from India and citing it as evidence of the country’s poor infrastructure.
An X user, blaming political parties, shared the video: “When will Indians realise that most of the political parties working in India are there to ensure their top brass’s next generations live in comfort? India needs a grassroots people’s movement to take back the country from neo-colonialists. (sic)” (Archive)

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The video is from Karachi, Pakistan.
A reverse image search of the video’s keyframes showed us that the video was shared by multiple Pakistani X handles (links here and here) on August 20-21. They claimed that the video is from Pakistan’s Karachi.
A Facebook account, Facture, based in Karachi, shared the video stating that a mother and child fell from a motorbike after hitting a hidden pothole on a waterlogged road in Karachi, highlighting the city’s infrastructure failures during the monsoon season.
The post also noted that the incident has sparked outrage among citizens who blame government negligence and poor drainage systems for putting families at risk.
Using a VPN network, we found the video published on YouTube by Pakistani media outlets, including Neo News and Capital TV, on August 20. Both channels reported that the woman and a child fell from their vehicle on a flooded Karachi road after heavy rainfall.
Therefore, we conclude that the video is not from India. The claim is false.
