Fact Check

This claim is false.

Silly Souls Goa Café & Bar hits headlines yet again. Earlier, a Congress leader had alleged that the restro bar owned by Smriti Irani's daughter in Goa was operating illegally with a fake license.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found the same menu on Just Dial which confirmed that the menu is from another restaurant called 'Upper Deck' – a restaurant in the Radisson Blu resort in Goa.

We found the same menu on Zomato as well which confirmed it was from Upper Deck, Goa.

We compared the viral menu with that of Silly Souls, Goa, and found they were different. The viral image matched Upper Deck's menu and not Silly Souls'.

Further, NewsMeter contacted the manager at Upper Deck who confirmed that the viral menu was theirs. "Yes, the viral menu card is ours but it's a three-year-old menu. We have changed our menu and don't serve beef anymore," he added.

It is evident from this that the viral claim is false. Silly Souls Goa does not serve beef.
