Fact Check

NewsMeter found that both photos date back to 2020.

On performing a reverse image search of the first photo, we found it carried it used in multiple news reports in 2020. As per the stock photography agency, Alamy, the photo was taken on 11 May 2020 and shows workers cleaning a platform at the Howrah Junction railway station in Kolkata.

A reverse image search of the second photo led us to a tweet featuring the same picture by the verified handle of the Eastern Railway. According to the caption, the photo shows an intensive cleaning station platform at Asansol on 13 August 2020.

Since both photos are from 2020, these photos do not show the state of Indian Railways before and after the BJP government in the country. Hence, the claim is false.
