Weird, right? Letās go deeper.
Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the viral image is AI-generated.
On performing a reverse image search, we found another similar image on a website called Dexerto. Instead of a person, this showed an adorable smiling dog inside the resin block.
The article had a tweet by an X user Kelly Port, who took credit for creating the image of the dog encased in resin. According to this X bio, he is credited on IMDb as being a visual effects supervisor on the Hollywood film Spider-Man: No Way Home and other big-budget films.

Since the family behind the resin cube is the same as the viral image, we wanted to find out if Kelly Port also created that image.
During the search, we came across the same viral image on X. But this time the woman in the resin had both her thumbs up.
In the same tweet, the same person (@Urquwill) and Kelly Port discussed the two images of living being encased in resin. In the comments, @Urquwill also shares the software he used to modify the image of a woman to make her have her thumbs up.

He tweeted, āNo problem for my part, canāt speak to what ā@kellyport used to make the original image. My edits were just done in the new photoshop beta with AI generation.ā
Although he attributes the original āwoman in resinā image to Kelly Port, we couldnāt find a direct credit.
However, it is proven without a doubt that the image of a woman inside a resin block is AI-generated.
