By Md Mahfooz Alam
Claim:The video shows the destruction of Pakistan’s Nuclear Command Centre caused by India’s BrahMos missile strike.
Fact:The claim is false. The video shows the aftermath of Israel’s airstrike in Yemen.
Hyderabad: India is reported to have launched precision strikes on several key Pakistani military installations, likely deploying BrahMos, SCALP and HAMMER missiles. The targeted sites included strategic air bases such as Rafiqui, Murid, Nur Khan and Skardu, along with radar installations in Pasrur and Sialkot.
In this context, a video circulating on social media, purportedly showing the aftermath of India’s missile strikes on Pakistan, features visuals of a burned tanker, shattered building glass, burning aircraft, thick smoke rising into the sky and water being used to control fire in a building. The video is being widely shared with the claim that it captures the destruction caused by the Indian attack.
An X user shared the video with the caption, “India’s BrahMos missile landed right next to Pakistan’s NCA HQ, near the Nuclear Command Centre. The strike shook Islamabad so severely that they ran to the US, begging for intervention. There is a medical emergency in Pakistan, and nuclear radiation is reportedly spreading.” (Translated from Hindi) (Archive)

Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the claim is false, as the video shows the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Yemen on May 6.
A reverse image search of keyframes led us to the same video posted by an X account on May 7, which claimed that Israel had carried out an airstrike on Yemen’s Sanaa Airport.
The search also surfaced an Instagram post from May 6 featuring multiple images, including a burning tanker and a damaged building with shattered glass, stating that the visuals were from an Israeli attack on a power station in Sanaa, Yemen.
We also noticed that the video carried the Arabic logo of Yemen’s Al-Masirah TV, which is operated by the Houthi group. Based on this clue, we checked Al-Masirah’s official X account and found a post from March 6 featuring four images—one of which matches the burned tanker seen in the viral clip. The post stated that these images show the aftermath of Israeli airstrikes on the central electricity station in Dahban, located in the Bani Al-Harith district of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa.

We also found a five-minute video posted on Al-Masirah’s X account on the same date, showing similar visuals of the burning aircraft, smoke billowing into the sky, and efforts to control a fire in a building. The post stated that the video depicted Israeli aggression targeting Sanaa International Airport.

A video report published by a verified YouTube channel of Yemen Today showed the same visuals.
Finally, a keyword search led us to a BBC report published on May 6, titled ‘Israel attacks main airport in Yemen’s capital Sanaa.’
According to the report, the Israeli military claimed it had ‘fully disabled’ Sanaa’s main airport, which was under Houthi control. It also targeted power stations described as ‘significant electricity supply infrastructure’ for the Houthis, as well as the al-Imran cement factory located in northern Sanaa.
Therefore, we conclude that the video shows Israel’s attack in Yemen, not India’s attack on Pakistan. The claim is false.
