Hyderabad: On 9 May, former Pakistan Prime Minster Imran Khan was arrested at the Islamabad High Court where he appeared seeking bail in multiple corruption cases. The arrest has triggered demonstrations that saw violence and arson across Pakistan.
Indian media outlets Times Now Navbharat, Zee News, and AajTak Bangla shared images claiming it shows the first image of Mr. Khan from jail.

NewsMeter found that the images have been generated using the AI tool Midjourney.
In the viral images, we noticed the text that read āexclusive by midjourney.ā
On magnifying the image, we found that Mr. Khanās leg has more than five toes in one of the images ā a common error in AI-generated images.

In the second image, we noticed that Mr. Khanās hands seem to have merged into each other.

From this, we conclude that the viral images of Imran Khan are AI-generated and does not the first images of him from jail. Hence, the claim is false.
