NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The video shows an explosion at a plastic manufacturing plant in Ezeiza Industrial Park, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 14, 2025.

Where did the explosion happen?

We did not find the viral visuals shared by any credible news reports in connection with the Iran-Israel conflict. If a blast leads to the death of 1,100 people in Israel, there is bound to be news coverage regarding the issue.

Using Google Notebook LLM, we found that the audio in the viral video is in Spanish. The dialogue is composed of rapid commands issued in Spanish, instructing someone to run and seek immediate shelter within a building.

Through reverse image search of the viral video keyframes, we found a shorter version of the video shared on Facebook. The video was shared on November 15, 2025, by Itapúa en Noticias, a Spanish news outlet.

The caption suggests that the video shows a massive explosion at a plant in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 14, 2025.

News coverage of the video

Using this information, we performed keyword searches and found a report by Argentine digital news portal Eldestape on the blast in Buenos Aires on the same day. The report states that a blast took place at a plastic container manufacturing plant located in the Ezeiza Industrial Park.

“The president himself confirmed that the company involved was Plásticos Lago, which produces containers for chemicals, agrochemicals, and cleaning products, among others,” read the report.

The report links to an X post showing the same viral video shared on November 15, 2025.

TRT World also shared a video about the blast on X on November 17, 2025, containing clips from the viral video along with other clips showing the blast at the factory.

The caption reads, “A massive explosion at the Spegazzini industrial park in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, triggered a huge fire at chemical plants and warehouses.”

It is clear that the viral video does not show Iran attacking Israel, causing the death of 1,100 people. It shows a blast at a plastic manufacturing plant in the Industrial Park area of Ezeiza province in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 14, 2025.
