Hyderabad: A video of the playback singer Jonita Gandhi singing in multiple Indian languages is viral on social media. While sharing videos of Jonita singing, many social media users are claiming that the singer is the daughter of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
A Facebook user shared the video with the caption, āBeautiful song of Priyanka Gandhiās daughter Jonitta Gandhi. (sic)ā

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. According to her public bio, Priyanka Gandhi is married to Robert Vadra, a Delhi-based businessman. The couple has a daughter named Miraya Vadra and a son named Raihan Vadra.
On performing a reverse image search of the videoās keyframe, we found the video published by the YouTube Channel, BehindwoodsTV, on March 1, 2023.
The Tamil title of the video stated that Jonita Gandhi sang songs in nine languages during the interview.
According to the information on Jonitaās website, she was born in Delhi, India. Her family emigrated to Canada when she was an infant. Jonita is a versatile singer who can sing in multiple genres and languages. Other than Indian languages, she can sing in Italian and French too.
Further, we checked Jonitaās Instagram account and found that she had posted pictures of her parents, Deepak Gandhi and Sneha Gandhi, on their birthday.
Hence, we conclude that the claim that the singer Jonita Gandhi is the daughter of Priyanka Gandhi is false.
