Claim:The video shows Israeli soldiers breaking down in tears amid the ongoing Iran-Israel-US conflict.
Fact:False. The video clip is AI-generated.
Hyderabad: The escalation involving Iran, Israel and the United States has led to missile exchanges, strikes on military targets and heightened tensions across the West Asia region since early 2026.
Reports have confirmed retaliatory actions, including Iranian missile strikes and joint US-Israeli operations, leading to civilian alerts and people taking shelter. At the same time, the conflict has also triggered a surge in misinformation online, with several fabricated videos being shared to depict dramatic or misleading scenes from the war.
Against this backdrop, short video clips showing uniformed men, claimed to be Israeli soldiers, appearing to cry and panic during missile strikes are being widely shared on social media.
In the viral video, a group of soldiers can be seen inside what appears to be a high-rise building in a conflict zone. The visuals show them trembling, appearing distressed and reacting as if missile strikes are taking place nearby.
The captions accompanying the video mock the soldiers, suggesting they are unable to handle combat.
One X user shared the clip with the caption, “Israeli forces when they’re told to fight men, and not women and children” (Archive)

Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The viral video does not show real Israeli soldiers reacting to the ongoing conflict. It is an AI-generated clip.
Clip is full of visual inconsistencies
A close analysis of the video reveals several inconsistencies typically seen in AI-generated content. In one frame, a soldier appears to have a patch resembling the Israeli flag on his uniform, which is missing in another frame. The expressions and crying also appear unnatural and repetitive.
Additionally, the weapon seen in the video does not look realistic. The soldier holding the gun appears unnatural, and the fingers gripping the weapon seem to merge or distort, which is a common artefact seen in AI-generated visuals.
Examination of video using AI tools
We further analysed the video using the AI detection tool Deepfake-O-Meter. Three of its detectors flagged the video with a high probability of being synthetically generated.
The viral video does not show Israeli soldiers in distress during the ongoing conflict. It is an AI-generated clip.
Therefore, the claim is false.
