Claim:The viral e-paper clippings show Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy saying ‘Congress will not win in Jubilee Hills’ and Konda Sushmita calling CM Revanth Reddy a ‘broker.’
Fact:The claims are false. Both Telugu e-paper clippings are fabricated. The links on the clipping directed to pages that don’t exist.

Hyderabad: Ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election scheduled for November 11, two Telugu e-paper clippings purportedly from Prabhata Velugu are going viral on social media.

The clippings claim that Congress leader Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy and Konda Sushmita, daughter of Konda Surekha, made controversial statements against the party and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The first news clipping, shared widely on X, features a clipping attributed to Prabhata Velugu newspaper with the headline, “Congress will not win in Jubilee Hills - Rajagopal Reddy.” (Archive)

The purported article claims that an ‘intelligence report also said Congress will lose badly’ and quotes Komatireddy as saying that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is ‘defaming Congress by fielding rowdies like Naveen.’ It also alleges that Congress will not come to power again in Telangana due to Revanth’s defeat.

The second viral clipping, shared on X, also attributed to Prabhata Velugu, carries the title, ‘Revanth Reddy is not the CM… he is a broker – Konda Sushmita,’ with quotes alleging corruption and misuse of power by the Chief Minister. (Archive)

Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. Both newspaper clippings are fabricated.

Publishing date of clippings

Both viral e-paper clippings show the same Velugu logo, the same date “Saturday, 25 October 2025,” and the same web link “https://epaper.v6velugu.com/c.” However, the headlines and content differ in each image, suggesting they were designed separately but from a common template.

Links on clippings

Both clippings had the same link, but when clicked, the webpages displayed a “404 Page Not Found” error.

We then verified the Prabhata Velugu e-paper dated October 25 by going through all its pages. Neither of the reports attributed to Raj Gopal Reddy nor Konda Sushmita appeared in the genuine edition.

Such fake clippings are part of a series of misinformation attempts observed during the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign. NewsMeter has earlier debunked several similar false newspaper images being circulated online. You can read the reports here and here.

This confirms that both e-paper clippings, bearing the same date, logo and web link, are fabricated and digitally created to look authentic.

The Telugu e-paper clippings claiming that Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy and Konda Sushmita made controversial remarks against Congress and CM Revanth Reddy are fake.

Both clippings carry the same Velugu logo, date, and website link, but no such stories appear in the official e-paper.

Hence, the viral claims are false.
