Hyderabad: Reports recently claimed that Iran-linked hackers breached FBI Director Kash Patel’s personal email account and published photographs and documents online.
According to reports, the hacker group Handala Hack Team claimed responsibility for the breach and shared several personal images allegedly belonging to Patel. These include photos of him in casual settings, such as smoking cigars, riding in a vintage car and taking mirror selfies.
Against this backdrop, a video showing a man dancing enthusiastically has gone viral on social media, with users claiming it is a private clip leaked from Kash Patel’s hacked email account.
In the viral video, a man is seen dancing to the Hindi song ‘Sun Sahiba Sun’ from the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili, while people in the background cheer him on.
Social media posts present the clip as an embarrassing personal video of the FBI Director.
One X user shared the video with the caption, “Kash Patel in a video from his hacked email account. Embarrassing is an understatement.” (Archive)

How old is the video?
A reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video led us to a report published by Times Now on December 26, 2022, which featured the same clip.
The report described the video as showing a man celebrating as his wife left for her parental home for a few days. In the clip, he is seen dancing joyfully to the song ‘Sun Sahiba Sun,’ while his friends cheer in the background.
The video was originally shared on social media by a user and had garnered significant views at the time.
We also found that News18 reported on the same video on December 26, 2022, confirming its circulation that year.
We could not independently verify the identity of the person seen in the viral video.
What was the email leak?
Reports suggest that the alleged leak includes emails from 2010 to 2019, covering both personal and professional communication. While some personal photographs were shared online, there is no credible evidence linking the viral dance video to the leak.
No official or verified source has reported that such a video was part of the leaked material.
