Hyderabad: Several social media users have shared a video of a pack of lions walking through the cars on the road claiming it to be a sight from Paris amidst the France riots.
Against the backdrop of the recent France Riots, that erupted after Nahel, a boy of Algerian descent, was shot dead by the French police for allegedly not having a driverā€™s license. A video of a lion pack has gone viral stating the plight of the city of Paris.

Fact Check

NewsMeter found the claim false as the viral video is old and unrelated.

On performing a simple reverse image search, we found the same video uploaded on YouTube with the description, a pretty nerve-racking experience sitting in a car as the lion pride made the way through us. Knowsley Safari Park' dated 22 October 2020.

Moving forward, we also found the same video on YouTube shorts as well.

Through our search, we also found the same video uploaded on Pinterest a year ago.

This indicates that not only the video is unrelated to France. It was shot in 2020.

Taking a cue from this, we performed keyword searches to find relevant information on the web and found that the Knowsley safari park is a safari park and tourist attraction near Prescot, England.

Hence, the video is in no way related to the France unrest.
