NewsMeter found that the claim is false, as the video is from Bangladesh.
A reverse image search of the videoās keyframes led to an extended version published by a Bangladesh-based media outlet, Prothom Alo, on November 27, 2023. The Bengali caption indicated that the footage depicted a torch rally and vehicle vandalism in support of a blockade in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Following this lead, we conducted a keyword search and found a Daily Sylhet Mirror report from November 27, 2023, featuring a screenshot from the video.
According to the report, a torch rally in Sylhetās Subidbazar area, held during a 48-hour blockade called by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and allied groups, turned violent.
