Man in uniform catching cobra is not an Indian army soldier

A video of a uniform-clad man fearlessly catching a cobra is viral on social media.

Though the uniform in the viral video seems identical to the Indian army, there is a twist to it.

FACT CHECK

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search that led us to the full version of the video on a Youtube channel 'Calon Prajurit'.

To find the origin of the channel we scanned the about section and found that the channel is an Indonesian Army channel. "Hello, soldier candidates..! Are you looking for a channel that likes to share all things about the Indonesian National Army or TNI such as TNI AD, TNI Al, or TNI AU, and about other soldiers such as the police force or Polri and other military forces? Prospective Soldiers is the right channel for chassis or prospective students..!" the thumbnail reads.

Moreover, the title of the video reads, "TNI SI HANTU RIMBA". It translates to TNI The Jungle Ghost.

Which means it is one of the jungle training videos of the Indonesian Army.

Hence, the video has no link to the Indian Army.

The claim is false.
