Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the viral graphic is morphed and does not show the correct prediction.
The viral graphic carries the logo of ABP News and has also credited C-voter for the opinion poll. Taking this as a cue, we ran a keyword search on ABPās YouTube channel for the recent opinion poll and found a panel discussion on the C-voter opinion poll live-streamed on 29 March.
At around the 1.20-hour mark, a graphic appears that shows Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) winning 68ā80 seats and the Congress Party winning 115ā127 seats.
We also found a short clip from the video tweeted by the official handle of ABP News on 29 March. This clip also shows Congress winning the majority.
Here is the comparison of the original graphic and the edited graphic.
Hence, we conclude that the viral opinion poll predicting BJPās majority in the 2023 Karnataka elections is morphed and does not show the real figure.
