NEET date not announced, viral claims are false
A post claiming that NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted through pen and paper mode from September 5 is viral on social media.

"The NEET (UG) 2021 is going to be conducted by NTA for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS Courses as per the relevant norms/guidelines/ regulations notified by the concerned regulatory bodies. The NEET (UG) ā 2021 will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English through pen and paper mode on 5th September 2021," reads the post.
Fact Check:
The claim is False. National Testing Agency has not confirmed any dates for the exam so far. There are no such updates found on the official website of the National Testing Agency.
NTA issued an official statement, saying that the fake public notice with the subject line, "Conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) ā 2021" is being circulated through various means, including social media. The test conducting body has denied issuing any notice declaring the exam date of NEET 2021 to be September 5.
Press Information Bureau also debunked the claim. "No such public notice declaring the conduct of NEET-UG on 5th September 2021 has been issued by the National Testing Agency," PIB tweeted

News Meter checked the official website of NTA and found no such official announcement made or any updates with regards to the NEET ā UG exam.
According to an article by the Indian Express: "The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday released an official notice regarding a fake public notice with the subject line ā "Conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) ā 2021" is being circulated through various means, including social media. The test conducting body has denied issuing any notice declaring the exam date of NEET 2021 to be September 5."
According to an article by DNAIndia.com: "The National Testing Agency (NTA), on Wednesday, issued an official notice and said that the dates for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) ā 2021 (NEET-UG 2021), which was earlier supposed to be held on August 1, will be postponed. A new date for the same has not been announced yet."
Conclusion: Hence the claim is false. National Testing Agency has not confirmed any dates for the exam so far.
