Fact Check: No, Chandrayaan-3 rover has not found aliens on moon
NewsMeter did not find any announcement made by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) of the Chandrayaan-3 rover about finding aliens on the moon.

Hyderabad: A Facebook page by the name News India TV has published a video claiming that after the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3’s lander on the lunar surface, its rover Pragyan has found the existence of aliens on the moon.
In the video, it is also claimed that the rover has recorded a video, which shows the existence of aliens on the moon. It also claimed that an alien spaceship was also seen.
The page shared the video with the caption, “Rover saw a herd of aliens!!.”

Fact Check
NewsMeter did not find any announcement made by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) of the Chandrayaan-3 rover about finding aliens on the moon.
We ran a keyword search but did not find any report by any credible media organisation on Chandaraayan-3 finding aliens on the moon. Had the news been true, it would have been published by all the media organisations.
During the search, we came across an article by the Hindustan Times of August 23, 2023, titled “From alien spaceship to bat-winged humanoids: Amid Chandrayaan 3, revisit the top conspiracy theories about the Moon.”
It said, “Let’s be clear that no matter what you read on the Internet or hear on TV or maybe read on shady forums, most Moon-related conspiracy theories are fake including the one about the Moon landing which is an industry of its own.”
Next, we searched through ISRO’s website but did not find any news about the existence of aliens on the moon.
We also checked the official X account of the ISRO. The last tweet by the official handle at the time of writing this article said the Pragyan rover is roaming around Shiv Shakti Point in pursuit of finding lunar secrets at the South Pole. However, we did not come across any post by ISRO that announced the existence of aliens on the moon.

After returning from Greece, prime minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the ISRO staff in Bengaluru, announced that the touchdown point of Chandrayaan-3 will be called Shiv Shakti and the site where Chandrayaan-2 left its footprints will be called Tiranga.
Since we did not come across any official announcement by ISRO of the Pragyan rover finding aliens on the moon, we conclude that the claim is false.
