"Muslim Man Lynched to Death By Hindutva Mob. Asif Khan, from Mewat district of Haryana, was lynched to death by Hindutva extremist groups on Sunday night, after forcing him to chant "Jai Shree Ram". #JusticeForAsif #India #Islamophobia (sic)," reads the message.
The same claim has been shared by a website `maktoobmedia.com'.

The claim that there is a communal angle to Asif Khan's murder is FALSE.
According to reports, a mob killed 25-year-old Asif Khan and thrashed two of his cousins while they were out to buy medicines. The incident took place in Nuh of Mewat when Asif Khan, who was a gym trainer, was returning home with his cousin brothers. The three were attacked by a mob and Asif was beaten to death, while two others were left with grievous injuries.
Haryana police have filed an FIR against the perpetrators under section 302 of IPC. Police have ruled out the religious angle in the matter saying that the two groups have fought in the past and have filed police complaints against each other.
According to Police, two cases have been filed against Asif alias Saddu. Five cases have been registered against Pradeep alias Patwari, the prime accused in the Asif murder case.
