Fact Check
NewsMeter ran a keyword search and found an article by the Indian Express carrying the viral image of Miller with the kid. The article mentions that the kid, Ane, passed away due to cancer, and she was a die-hard fan of the cricketer.
Abhishek Kumar, a sports journalist, took to Twitter to debunk the fake claim that Ane was Miller's daughter.
A verified Twitter handle, CricTracker, in a tweet also reported that "Miller lost one of his biggest fans."
On Instagram, Miller posted a video of several pictures with Ane and wrote, "RIP you little rockstar. Love you always!"
Miller also posted a story and wrote, "Going to miss you so much by skut! The biggest I've ever known. You took the fighting to a different level ā always incredibly positive and with a smile on your face."
It is evident from news reports that Ane was not Miller's daughter but one of his biggest fans. Hence, the claim is false.
