Fact Check

NewsMeter looked for news reports and found a BBC article from 9 November that said Drogba has denied converting to Islam.

A website, Sports Brief, also reported that the former Chelsea striker had denied converting to Islam, and he only paid respect to his Muslim brothers when he visited his village.

The football legend also took to Twitter to clarify that he has not changed his religion. The viral photos show him paying respect to his Muslim brothers and were taken during a visit to his village.

Since the former football player has himself denied changing his religion, the claim is false.
