Hyderabad: A video of United States President Joe Biden kissing a young woman and reportedly touching her inappropriately is doing the rounds on social media.
People sharing the clip claim that it shows Joe Biden groping his granddaughter.
A Twitter user shared the clip and wrote, āJoe Biden groped his granddaughter in front of the world. What happens behind closed doors?ā (Archive)

NewsMeter found that the viral video is clipped and is being shared with misleading context.
On performing a reverse image search of the videoās keyframe, we found a similar image on Getty Images from 29 October 2022. According to the caption, the photo shows US President Joe Biden placing a āVotedā sticker on granddaughter Natalie Biden after they cast their early vote in Wilmington, Delaware, on 29 October 2022. It also said Natalie Biden is the daughter of Joe Bidenās late son Beau Biden and she had voted for the first time.
Taking a cue from this, we ran a keyword search and found the video on NBC News. It was titled āPresident #Biden And His Granddaughter Cast Their Votes Together.ā
The video shows Mr. Biden informing the people in the voting room that his granddaughter is voting for the first time. In the subsequent frames, Natalie Biden can be seen placing a sticker on her grandfather which is followed by Mr. Biden placing a sticker on Natalie Biden and kissing her cheek.
It is evident that the viral video is clipped and is being shared with misleading context. Hence, we conclude that the claim that Joe Biden groped his granddaughter is false.
