Hyderabad: A photo of Portuguese footballer Christiano Ronaldo along with his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez and his son has gone viral. Social media users are claiming that the viral photo was taken at the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France in Qatar.
Argentina beat France in the World Cup finals on 18 December in a historic match.
Portugal was knocked out of the tournament in the quarter-finals after they lost to Morocco.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search of the viral image which led us to the original image uploaded on Getty Images in 2018. The caption read, "Georgina Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo look during the Group H match of the UEFA Champions League between Juventus and BSC Young Boys at Allianz Stadium on October 2, 2018 in Turin, Italy."
Many other images from the same event were uploaded by Getty on 2 October 2018.
It is evident that the viral image is from 2018 and not from FIFA World Cup 2022 finals held in Qatar.
Hence, the claim is false.
