Hyderabad: A post claiming that Telangana will impose complete lockdown from 29 April has gone viral on social media.
This claim is FALSE. There are no news reports or official statements confirming this claim.

NewsMeter searched online for news reports about the lockdown but found none that supported the viral post. The Telangana government has only declared night curfew from 9 p.m to 5 a.m till 30 April to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
During the above mentioned period, all offices, firms, shops, establishments, and restaurants shall close at 8 p.m. However, hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharmacies, and those dealing with supply of essential services will be exempted, including print and electronic media; telecommunications, internet services, broadcasting, and cable services; IT and IT-enabled services; delivery of all goods through e-commerce; petrol pumps, LPG, CNG, petroleum, and gas outlets; and power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Chief Minister KCR has also said that there will be no further lockdowns in Telangana. He has asked people not to panic and advised them to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and sanitize regularly.
